Swimmer Program

(Ages 5+)

Our Swimmer Program builds lifelong water skills through progressive levels that develop confidence, technique, endurance, and water safety awareness. From first-time swimmers to advanced stroke development and rescue skills, each level ensures swimmers are supported every step of the way.

Pre-Glider

Pre-Glider is ideal for new swimmers who are still developing water comfort and overcoming fear. Swimmers learn to blow bubbles, submerge independently, and float on both their front and back with support. Classes focus on water safety, glides, and kicking—all designed to gently build confidence and trust in the water.

Glider 1

Swimmers are introduced to full submersions, front and back floats, and beginner glides with unassisted movement. Basic skills like monkey crawls, safe entries, and assisted object recovery support a smooth transition into confident swimming.

Glider 2

Building on foundational skills, Glider 2 focuses on breath control, gliding with kicking, and early front swim with arms. Swimmers begin rollover breathing and practice retrieving objects from the pool bottom, increasing both strength and independence.

Glider 3

Swimmers refine their front crawl with side breathing, back crawl introduction, and front-side glide combinations. Interval training, treading, and object recovery challenge endurance and safety readiness while reinforcing coordinated movements.

Glider 4

This level strengthens all major strokes and introduces elementary backstroke and whip kick. Swimmers increase their swim distance and focus on side glide, underwater swimming, and interval swims while developing rescue skills like spotting hazards and calling EMS.

Glider 5

Gliders begin advanced entries like cannonballs and stride entries while learning forward somersaults and touch turns. Endurance expectations grow, and swimmers work toward mastering front and back crawl over longer distances with improved technique and timing.

Glider 6

Stroke refinement continues with bent-arm front crawl, longer distance swims, and whip kick endurance. Swimmers are introduced to scissor kick and vertical treading with whip kick as they develop strong, controlled movement through various swim styles.

Glider 7

Swimmers refine underwater pulls in front and back crawl, swim longer distances, and begin lifesaving-focused skills like head-up front crawl, obstacle swims, and inverted scissor kick. Focus is placed on strength, coordination, and effective movement in both deep and shallow water.

Glider 8

The final level emphasizes advanced technique, endurance, and rescue readiness. Swimmers complete extended distance swims, master eggbeater treading, and refine strokes like breaststroke and elementary backstroke. Safety and skill come together to prepare swimmers for junior lifeguarding or leadership programs.
