Preschool Swim Program
(Ages 2 – 5 years)
Our Preschool Program supports swimmers as they transition from parent participation to independent water explorers. Through five progressive levels, children build essential water safety habits, breath control, and fundamental swimming skills in a fun and supportive environment.
Splasher 1
Splasher 1 introduces young swimmers to water safety and comfort with activities like blowing bubbles, gentle submersions, assisted front and back floats, and basic water movement. Children learn how to safely get in and out of the pool and begin developing confidence through playful exploration and positive reinforcement.
Splasher 2
In Splasher 2, swimmers begin to float, glide, and kick with greater independence. This level focuses on unassisted floats and breath control through full submersions and exhaling underwater. Children also work on assisted rollover floats and glides, shallow water movement, and safely navigating pool edges with monkey crawls.
Splasher 3
This level challenges swimmers to self-initiate their floats, glides, and kicks. Swimmers continue to build underwater confidence with submersions and object recovery. Key milestones include rollover glides, unassisted front and back floats, and introductory front crawl arm movements. Safety skills like STOP, LOOK, ASK and water hazard recognition are reinforced.
Splasher 4
Splasher 4 swimmers are now confidently moving through the water with unassisted glides, kicks, and early front crawl and back glide techniques. Emphasis is placed on transitioning between front and back positions, kicking to safety, and swimming with arms and breath control. Swimmers also begin basic treading water and continue to develop rescue awareness.
Splasher 5
The final preschool level prepares swimmers for the Glider program by refining front swim with rollover breathing, back glide with kick, side glide, and object recovery from the bottom. Independence, strength, and technique come together as swimmers demonstrate strong safety awareness and self-rescue skills over longer distances.
